SVENSKA STJÄRNOR - TRIBUTE TO ELLA FITZGERALD
In 2018, the legendary Ella Fitzgerald would have turned 100 - and Berwaldhallen in Stockholm celebrated with a set of concerts focusing on her interpretations of songs from George and Ira Gershwin’s musical riches. In 2019, the production was once again performed, this time in Malmö Live Concert Hall with Malmö Symphony Orchestra.

Ellen Andersson Quartet awarded with Jazzkatten 2017 as ”Newcomer of the Year”
Ellen Andersson Quartet was awarded the prize for ”Newcomer of the Year” during the P2 Jazzkatten gala at Jazzclub Fasching in Stockholm October 10th 2017, where the group also performed live during the evening.
P2 Jazzkatten is Radio Sweden’s jazz award which every year is given out in six categories, striving to celebrate live jazz in particular. The award regards achievements by artists, musicians and composers active in Sweden, and the judgement is based on concerts and recordings in Sweden during the previous year.

Gyllene Skivan, one of the most prestigious awards in Swedish jazz issued by Swedish jazz magazine OrkesterJournalen, was in 2017 awarded Ellen Andersson Quartet, for their debut album "I'll Be Seeing You". The winner is selected by a combination of votes from a jury and from readers, and represents the previous year's best Swedish jazz album release
